The San Francisco 49ers saw superstar running back Christian McCaffrey deal with multiple injury issues throughout the 2024 NFL season. He was limited to playing in just four games played last year.

To start off the season, McCaffrey missed the first eight games of the season due to Achilles tendonitis in both legs. His season was ended quickly after his return to the field due to a PCL injury in his right knee.

In the four games he was able to play for the 49ers, the 28-year-old running back carried the football 50 times for 202 yards. He also chipped in 15 receptions for 146 yards.

With the 2025 NFL draft set to begin on Thursday night, McCaffrey has made a major announcement about his current health status.

As shared by ESPN's Nick Wagoner, McCaffrey has shared that he has no restrictions from the injuries he dealt with last season.

"49ers RB Christian McCaffrey says he has no restrictions from previous injuries and is participating fully in the offseason program," Wagoner wrote on X.

Back in the 2023 NFL season with San Francisco, McCaffrey was unstoppable. He racked up 272 carries for 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. He also caught 67 passes for 564 yards and seven scores through the air.

Having a healthy version of McCaffrey back on the field will be a huge step towards the 49ers getting back into the playoffs.

After a 2024 season that saw San Francisco end the year with a 6-11 record, the team is hungry to get back on track.
