Aaron Rodgers 'Breaks His Silence' As Critics Wonder Why
Kevin R. Wexler / USA TODAY NETWORK

Aaron Rodgers remains without a team for the 2025 NFL season.

But whenever he wants one, he has access to one of the loudest megaphones in sports.

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Thursday, Rodgers was outspoken about his contentious exit from New York.

To some, he cleared the air on months of speculation about his football future.

To critics? He clouded the air with gunk.

Rodgers detailed a short but tense meeting with Jets head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey, during which he was informed just seconds into their conversation that the Jets planned to move forward without him.

Rodgers seems to think he was treated rudely.

To critics? He was simply cut - fired - like an almost infinite number of people before him.

"I figured that when I flew across the country on my own dime, that there was gonna be a conversation," Rodgers explained.

Instead, Glenn abruptly told Rodgers, "We're going in a different direction at quarterback.''

"I [didn’t] want any part of that," Rodgers said, describing the situation as "already a debacle."

To some, the four-time MVP deserves more respect.

To critics? Rodgers seems to be lying about the "cross-country trip,'' because he was allegedly already on the East Coast when the meeting was arranged.

Rodgers also emphatically stated that money is such a non-factor that he’s offered to play for the bidding teams for "$10 million'' in 2025.

To some, that seems like a generous guy who just wants to play ball.

To critics? Rodgers seems to be fibbing again, given the fact that we know the Pittsburgh Steelers offered him three times that weeks ago ... leaving them in the lurch as he does what he does.

Said Rodgers, "I'm open to anything and attached to nothing."

To some, that's "so cool'' that he "broke his silence'' to demonstrate how "mellow'' he is.

To critics? That's not the guy you hire to lead a football team.
