Former Alabama Crimson Tide running back Mark Ingram is seventh all-time for career rushing yards (3,261).
In 2009, Ingram won the Heisman after rushing for 1,658 yards and 17 touchdowns. After a successful college career, he entered the NFL.
On a recent episode of "The Triple Option," Ingram shared how he felt heading into the 2011 NFL Draft. Ingram described his anxiety about not knowing which team would select him.
He was drafted 28th overall by the New Orleans Saints. He did not know where he would be drafted, but it was predicted he would land somewhere in the first 10 or 20 picks.
He played for the Saints (2011-18, 2021-22), the Baltimore Ravens (2019-20), and the Houston Texans (2021).
"You're just training, man," Ingram said. "You're kinda training and kinda wondering, man, 'Where am I going to be in a couple weeks?' That anxious feeling, you know what I mean? Like, you know you're gonna get drafted; I knew I was gonna get drafted. I didn't know where I was gonna get drafted. They were saying I was gonna go between 10 and 20, so I was like, 'Ok, that sounds pretty good.' ...It's just a real feeling, man. It's kind of an anxious feeling. Just kind of interested in, wondering, where I am going to be in 2-3 weeks?"
Ingram reached the Pro Bowl three times in his NFL career. He went twice with the Saints (2014, 2017) and once with the Ravens (2019).
The 2025 NFL Draft will be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the home of the Green Bay Packers, from April 24-26.
