The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Joe Burrow. And on Wednesday, the organization strengthened its QB depth chart behind the superstar signal caller.
With the 2025 NFL season quickly approaching, the Bengals signed free-agent quarterback Logan Woodside on a one-year deal.
Woodside originally entered the NFL ranks as the Bengals' seventh-round draft pick in 2018. The former Toledo quarterback has since notched NFL stints with the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons.
Woodside has made 13 regular-season game appearances in his NFL career, completing four of his seven pass attempts for 34 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception. He'll be classified as a fifth-year player in the 2025 season.
"We have signed free agent QB Logan Woodside," the Bengals wrote in an announcement on X.

Woodside will serve as the third quarterback option on the Bengals' depth chart, trailing Burrow and primary backup Jake Browning. In 2023, Browning made seven starts for the Bengals in place of an injured Burrow — completing 70.4% of his pass attempts for 1,936 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Despite finishing the 2024 regular season with five consecutive victories, the Bengals narrowly missed the playoffs with a 9-8 record. Burrow won the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year award, completing 70.6% of his pass attempts for a league-leading 4,918 yards, 43 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
