The Buffalo Bills will look to get back in the win column coming out of their bye week when they host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
Although it's very rare for these two teams to face each other (this will be just the second time that Josh Allen has played the 49ers), the Bills will see a familiar face on the San Francisco defense.
Defensive end Leonard Floyd spent the 2023 season with the Bills before signing a two-year contract with the 49ers in the offseason. Leading up to the matchup, Floyd admitted that he's been looking forward to facing his former team.
“Oh, yeah, most definitely circled this one because Buffalo was a different experience,” Floyd said. “They've got great fans, and they’re going to be a hostile environment for us. And we gonna have to endure that, and play through that, and stay together, and hopefully, come out with a victory.”
In one year with the Bills, Floyd finished with 32 combined tackles, one forced fumble and a career-high 10.5 sacks. This season with the 49ers, he's currently second on the team with 6.5 sacks through 11 games.
The Bills' offensive line will certainly have their hands full blocking Floyd and All-Pro Nick Bosa throughout the night.
However, on the other side of the ball, Buffalo's defense may catch a break, as 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy's status is currently uncertain for Sunday after he missed last week with a shoulder injury.
