The Buffalo Bills have made their decision on pass rusher Von Miller's future with the team.

Buffalo has been busy lately with a variety of roster moves coming off an AFC runner-up season. Among the flurry of activity were extensions for several key contributors, including linebacker Terrel Bernard, defensive end Greg Rousseau, long snapper Reid Ferguson and wide receiver Khalil Shakir.

While those players are just getting started with the Bills, Miller's tenure is ending. Buffalo is releasing the future Hall of Famer, the team announced Sunday morning.

The Bills thanked Miller, who spent the last three seasons with the team, in a social media post. Buffalo will save $8.3 million in cap space by cutting the Super Bowl 50 MVP.

Miller, an eight-time Pro Bowler, signed a six-year, $120 million contract with Buffalo in March 2022. In his first campaign with the team, he started 11 games, recording 21 total tackles, including 10 for loss, and eight sacks before tearing his ACL in December.

Limited by the effects of the injury the following year, Miller logged only three tackles and no sacks in 12 games.

In 2024, he missed four games due to a suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy, returning to finish with 17 tackles and six sacks in 13 appearances.

"Last year at this time, we were working on a restructure for him, and he did something unprecedented," Bills general manager Brandon Beane said at the NFL scouting combine last month. "... He took a pay cut below his actual guarantee. And you're talking about a first-ballot Hall of Famer that did that. So, a lot of respect for what he did to come back and try and help us chase this trophy. And I thought as the year went on, he continued to show that he could still play."

Miller, who turns 36 later this month, likely can still help a contending team in a part-time role, assuming he still wants to play.

We'll see what his market looks like when free agency gets underway this week.
