The Bills lost Zack Moss for the remainder of the playoffs after he suffered an ankle injury against the Indianapolis Colts in the wild-card round. Freeman could end up being called up to replace Moss as soon as this weekend.
In five games for the Giants this season, Freeman had 54 carries for 172 yards and one touchdown with seven receptions for 58 yards.
Before signing with the Giants, Freeman spent six years with the Atlanta Falcons, rushing for 3,972 yards and 32 touchdowns in 77 games. He also had 257 receptions for 2,015 yards and 11 touchdowns before being released by the franchise in March 2020.
The Bills also signed veteran wide receiver Kenny Stills to their practice squad before their wild-card round matchup against the Colts. He did not play in that game.
