The Denver Broncos seem to have found their quarterback of the future in Bo Nix.
Nix led the Broncos to the postseason during his rookie season in Denver. While they were ultimately defeated by Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, Nix proved to be a reliable signal-caller for the Broncos.
Following his rookie season, the Broncos called for backup. Denver has agreed to a deal with Sam Ehlinger, who will be in the quarterback room alongside Nix and Jarrett Sitdham, per Jordan Schultz.
Ehlinger has been with the Indianapolis Colts throughout his NFL career, which began in the 2021, so this will be a fresh start for the former sixth-round pick.

Most of Ehlinger's NFL film came from the 2022 season with the Colts, where he played in four games. Ehlinger finished the season with three touchdowns and 573 yards, completing 63.4% of his pass attempts.
He entered the NFL after starring for the Texas Longhorns from 2017 to 2020.
During Nix's rookie season with the Broncos, the young signal-caller recorded 29 touchdowns and 3,775 yards with a 66.3 completion percentage.
Nix was a finalist for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, but ultimately came in second in voting, losing to Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels who also had an incredible rookie season.
