Many fans across the league have turned their attention to NFL free agency, following the conclusion of the season.
Some of the biggest names that will likely hit the open market include Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Sweat and Trey Smith.
While those stars have received plenty of national recognition, one name that has generated major buzz in the trade market.
Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns recently requested a trade after his eighth year in the league.
Despite his request, the Browns have made it clear that they are unwilling to shop the former No. 1 overall pick and four-time All-Pro, according to Jeremy Fowler at ESPN.
"The stance is still hard no. I checked on that this morning," Fowler said. "They have no plans to trade him. That's been their sentiment since he made the trade request a few weeks ago. Teams are going to try, but I was actually told that not a lot of teams have inquired so far, in part because they know the answer is 'no' right now."
Last season, Garrett posted one pass deflection, one fumble recovery, three forced fumbles, 14 sacks, 22 tackles for loss and 47 tackles.
During his eight-year NFL career the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year has recorded a combined six fumble recoveries, 20 forced fumbles, 102.5 sacks, 116 tackles for loss and 352 tackles.
While Garrett may be seen as arguably the best offseason acquisition to organizations around the league, it seems the Browns are inclined to keep the six-time Pro Bowler.
