The Cleveland Browns are set for a tough road matchup against the red-hot Washington Commanders this weekend.
At this point in the season, no game can truly be called a "must-win" game. However, this one is as close as it can get for the Browns.
To this point, Cleveland has looked awful. They are just 1-3 and have shown many different weaknesses already. If they want to get their season back on track, they have to find a way to pick this win up against the Commanders.
Thankfully, they are getting a bit of a boost this week.
Myles Garrett, the Browns' superstar pass-rusher, offered a major injury update about himself. He has been playing through three separate injuries through the early stages of the season.
“Actually, this week has been a really great week for me as far as recovering and managing a lot of this pain. This is probably the best I’ve felt since last year, today, so I’m really starting to feel like myself again and turning in the right direction.”

Of course, Garrett has still been playing at a superstar level through the injuries. He has put up another big season already through the first four games.
Speaking of Garrett's production, he has racked up nine tackles, four sacks, and two forced fumbles in just four games. His ability to dominate through injuries is just another season of how good and talented the 28-year-old superstar has been for Cleveland.
Getting him back closer to full healthy would be a huge step in the right direction for the Browns' defense.
This week, Cleveland will need him to be a huge part of the game plan of slowing down rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. The Browns will need to put pressure on Daniels and they'll also need to contain him in the pocket. It's no easy task, but a healthier version of Garrett will certainly help.
Hopefully, he'll be able to put together yet another massive performance this week and help lead his team to a win. The Browns can't afford to start off the season 1-4.

However, Harris also never played with a good offensive line and was asked to be the bell cow for an offense that changed running schemes multiple times. And still, he reached over 1,000 yards and five-plus rushing TDs every year in Pittsburgh, all the while not missing a start, much less a game. Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh has a type at RB and Najee Harris fits that type. A road grader with a ton of durability and power, he’s exactly what the Chargers want their lead back to look like. So It’s a move that brings Najee Harris back to his home state of California and brings the Los Angeles Chargers closer to being the offense they want to be: A smashmouth team that throws off play action. As for Mike Williams, the familiarity with the Chargers and the fact that the team still has a need at the WR position made this move easy to see coming.

The Oilers made an impressive off-the-radar move to acquire Jake Walman from the San Jose Sharks, who opened up about feeling shocked by the trade and his history of being dealt. Jake Walman was traded to the Edmonton Oilers by the San Jose Sharks on Friday for a conditional first-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft and forward prospect Carl Berglund. Furthermore, Walman reflects on his opportunity to play on a Stanley Cup-contending team, expressing his gratitude towards GM Stan Bowman. "It says a little bit about the transition I've made in a year, and getting the trust from Stan to come and get me. "It means a lot. I feel shocked, but obviously really excited for this opportunity. It's a different feeling. You know what (kind of) team you're joining." Hopefully, fans will be able to see Walman's "Griddy" once he settles in a bit more in Oil Country.
Craig Berube has jaw-dropping comments on Maple Leafs, entire NHL
Craig Berube has been the Maple Leafs boss for just this season, and he believes the they have a target on their back. In Craig Berube's first season as a Toronto Maple Leaf, the supporting cast looks very different than the 2023-24 team. With just two points separating them from the top of the Atlantic Division, it appears the changes in the lineup and behind the bench have worked wonders. The Stanley Cup-winning head coach has made his mark on the Maple Leafs, and with so much talent, they believe this could finally be their season. It's not easy, however, and according to Berube, the situation in Toronto is so much more difficult than anywhere else that he believes the rest of the NHL has put a target on the Leafs' back. "I find the Toronto Maple Leafs have a target on their back every night, it seems like. We don't get an easy game, especially at home here. These teams all come into Toronto, and a lot of the players are from here. They get geared up to play us. It is a tough night every night with the Leafs." This is similar to what his predecessor expressed after being fired by Toronto last summer. Sheldon Keefe noted the immense differences between coaching in New Jersey than in Toronto, with the lack of a spotlight being a huge difference for him. That doesn't mean a team can't win in Toronto, but it does mean that opposing teams often play their best against the Maple Leafs. With Berube's latest comments, it's clear how tough it can be on this Leafs team.
Jonathan Toews makes his true feelings known on the Chicago Blackhawks organization prior to NHL return
The Blackhawks let the Jonathan Toews era of the franchise end in 2023, but he wants to make an NHL comeback and prove Chicago's GM Kyle Davidson wrong. The Chicago Blackhawks organization has had multiple historic players pass through in recent years, but two notable departures: forwards Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. With Toews confirming his injuries are healed after a long "journey" in India, he wants to make his NHL return. In an interview with The Athletic, (h/t NHL.com), Toews says he's attempting a comeback, but could it be with the Blackhawks? "I respect what Kyle and the organization is doing. They decided a few years ago to move in a different direction and I'm all for that. ... I don't think that's a fit for me anymore. I know my best hockey's going to come through that way, instead of trying to be in that role where I'm still living with the pressure of our Cup-winning days. That era's over."
