The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will enter the NFL Draft with only a couple of needs, and one could make the case that the franchise doesn't have big, urgent moves they need to make.
More so, looking to add depth and push those already on the roster.
The offense led by Baker Mayfield is set, but defensively, despite the addition of Haason Reddick in free agency, still needs another body, and the linebacker spot with Lavonte David still going, might need a youth injection with Alabama's Jihaad Campbell.
Given how well the Bucs' roster is put together ahead of the draft, Pro Football Focus, in ranking all 32 teams ahead of the draft, Tampa Bay sits at a respectable No. 11.
"Almost nobody is better than general manager Jason Licht at keeping his studs in place, and he executed another masterclass with Chris Godwin, Ben Bredeson and Lavonte David," Pro Football Focus writes.
With a couple of solid defensive additions, one could make the case that the Buccaneers might be one of the better teams in the conference.
If another edge rusher, linebacker, or even corner is taken in the first three rounds, Todd Bowles' defense might be ready to wreak havoc in 2025.
Led by the offense, the Buccaneers won't have a problem putting up points; it will be a matter of whether the defense can hold teams to respectable totals consistently enough.
While the Buccaneers might not be on many people's radars in 2025, they are one of the favorites for the division, and with Mayfield having a chip on his shoulder, so too Reddick, this version of Tampa Bay might scare a few teams this upcoming season.
And based on their rankings, PFF thinks so too.
