Cam Ward Gets Important Titans Update on Tuesday

Miami quarterback Cam Ward was not shy about wanting to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft at his Monday Pro Day. He even told Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi that he was going to solidify his status as the top pick during his workout.

Tennessee seemed to be open to trading down or taking a position player like Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter but Ward has done a lot to win them over.

The Titans don't seem to mind the confidence and are going to continue to take a closer look at him. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Tennessee is being in Ward for a private workout ahead of the draft.

"ESPN sources: Tennessee will hold an additional private workout with potential No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward," Schefter wrote on X. "The Titans have become increasingly impressed with Ward and, while they are expected to listen to offers for the No. 1 overall pick, it now would take an even stronger package to acquire the draft’s top selection."

It doesn't appear the Titans have made a firm decision but it could be increasingly difficult to pass on Ward with the No. 1 pick. The team needs a quarterback and hasn't done much to address the position in free agency.

The most recent highly drafted quarterbacks the Titans have taken were Marcus Mariota and Will Levis. They'll have to hope that Ward can buck the trend if they do decide to move forward with him as their franchise quarterback.
