Cam Ward Makes First Post Following Big Titans News

In the least surprising move of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans selected former Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick. It had been widely reported for weeks that the team had made this decision, and they didn't disappoint.

Ward had cemented himself as the top quarterback in the draft class, and with the Titans having a major need at the position, he was an obvious pick.

Following the news of getting drafted, Ward had a simple message in his first social media post as the Titans quarterback.

"Forever humble because I know what it’s like to be at the bottom…," Ward wrote on X.

The Titans have been searching for a franchise quarterback for a long time. They tried with Marcus Mariota in 2015 and then again with Will Levis in 2023.

Those two quarterbacks struck out, but Tennessee clearly believes that Ward will be different. The former Miami star had to work his way up in college before becoming one of the premier passers in college football.

He's got plenty of arm talent and athleticism. He's not a big runner, but he can move when he needs to. He's even recently drawn comparisons to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

If Ward can even be half as good as Mahomes, he may be the best quarterback the franchise has had since Warren Moon. The Titans didn't bring in any notable veteran quarterback options this offseason, so Ward is likely going to see the field very quickly.
