It feels like the Los Angeles Chargers have been linked to every wide receiver in the NFL this offseason.
There were a slew of them available in free agency and on the trade market, and with the Chargers’ pressing need for help on the outside, they were naturally front-and-center when discussing possible destinations for the receivers.
Free agency is nearly a month old at this juncture and Los Angeles still hasn’t found any meaningful pass catchers to add.
Their big acquisition so far was former fan favorite Mike Williams who has also been trying to persuade Keenan Allen to make a return.
Maybe three years ago that would’ve been an exciting prospect, but in 2025 that duo doesn’t move the needle very much.
There have been tons of star receivers available since the season ended in February, but the Chargers haven’t taken the bait on any of them.
It seems like they keep getting chance after chance to add a star pass catcher and the opportunity has arisen once again.
After a flurry of tweets earlier this week, Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill is seemingly a trade candidate again.
Immediately after the season ended, in his postgame interview, the former Super Bowl champion announced his exit from the Miami Dolphins but quickly walked it back.

Now, in a stunning turn of events, Hill is reopening the door to a trade.
He’s changed his stance on the subject multiple times so it’s to be determined if this current outburst lasts, but if it does then the Chargers need to be on the phone doing anything they can to get a deal done.
Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton predicted a trade between Miami and Los Angeles that included a second and fourth-round pick to the Dolphins for Hill’s services.
This would be a steep price for a receiver past the age of 30, but his resume speaks for itself.
It’s understandable to be disinterested in paying unproven or aging receivers $20 million per year or more, but this is a completely different ball game.
The former Kansas City Chiefs receiver just turned 31, but his game has a chance to age much more gracefully than others at his position because he takes minimal contact.
With Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missing much of the season, Hill had a bad season by his standards.
But his first two years in Miami he eclipsed 1. 700 yards and combined for 20 touchdowns.
There is virtually no risk in a trade for the former All-Pro because he’s been producing at an elite level for nearly a decade now.
If a potential deal were to happen between the two teams, it would likely occur between now and the NFL Draft.
The Chargers should be having tough conversations within the front office until then, because another missed opportunity to add a superstar wide receiver would be catastrophic.
