The Chicago Bears have been very busy this offseason. After hiring new head coach Ben Johnson, general manager Ryan Poles has been very clearly working to improve the roster dramatically.
Following the NFL free agency frenzy, the Bears are now gearing up for the 2025 NFL draft.
During free agency, Chicago made a lot of moves. Poles started off the offseason pulling off trades for offensive linemen Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney. In free agency, the Bears brought in center Drew Dalman, defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo, and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, among other moves.
With the draft set to begin on April 24, no one knows what Chicago is going to do. It has been linked to many different potential targets.
One Bears' insider has now revealed a surprising potential move they could make.
According to Adam Hoge of CHGO Bears , Chicago could look to bring in another offensive lineman. The team may not view its line in front of Caleb Williams as fixed just yet.
“Poles was very candid on Hoge & Jahns about potentially adding another left tackle to the mix, and with Braxton Jones likely to be limited into training camp, it would be surprising if Kiran Amegadjie doesn’t have any other legitimate competition during the offseason program,” Hoge wrote. “Will Campbell, come on down? The arm-length debate will continue to rage, but my instincts tell me the Bears will seriously consider the LSU left tackle at No. 10 if he’s still available.”
Landing Campbell at No. 10 overall would be a big pickup. He has been mocked as high as the No. 4 overall pick throughout the pre-draft process.
Building around Williams is the clear priority for the Bears. Making the offensive line a key strength is a big part of that process.
