The NFL announced its 2024 Pro Bowl rosters on Thursday. Despite having a disastrous season, this year's Chicago Bears were able to send a representative. Cornerback Jaylon Johnson was the lone Bear selected. Johnson has started all 16 games this season, recording 48 tackles, two interceptions, seven pass breakups, and seven tackles-for-loss. This year, Johnson was chosen as a Pro Bowl starter after being tabbed as a reserve last season.
Per Chicago Bears writer Larry Mayer, Johnson is grateful for the opportunity.
"Making this Pro Bowl is special, just [with] all the adversity that's happened this year," Johnson told ChicagoBears.com. "Battling week-in and week-out has taken a lot of fight physically but also mentally. Getting to the Pro Bowl back-to-back years is truly a blessing. I just thank God for all that he's done for me this year."
- Jaylon Johnson
Players were selected for the Pro Bowl Games by the consensus votes of fans, players, and coaches, with each group's vote counting as one-third. The Pro Bowl will take place Feb 2. in Orlando, FL.
