The Kansas City Chiefs recently suffered a brutal 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
Kansas City entered the game with NFL history in mind, set to potentially become the first team to win three straight titles.
The Chiefs' historic hopes were spoiled by a dominant performance from the Eagles on both ends of the field.
Following the embarrassing loss in Super Bowl LIX, head coach Andy Reid and his staff were quick to make roster moves.
One of the first moves Kansas City made was retaining quarterback Chris Oladokun. He has inked a reserves/future deal for the 2025 season, per Ed Easton Jr. at Chiefs Wire.
Oladokun was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. After a short stint with the Steelers, Oladokun joined the Chiefs during the 2022 season.
He's mainly served as Kansas City's scout team quarterback, helping the organization win two Super Bowls since arriving in 2022.
Oladokun has spent years on the Chiefs' practice squad and will seemingly head into a similar role in 2025. During the 2024 season, he backed up Patrick Mahomes and Carson Wentz.
The Chiefs finished the season with a 17-3 record, defeating the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills in the postseason before falling at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
