Patrick Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history and as a result, sports cards with his autograph on it can be worth thousands of dollars. Now, fans will be getting more cards from the Kansas City Chiefs star.
According to a sports collectibles writer, Mahomes and Panini America have agreed to a new autographed trading card deal that will come into effect in the 2025 season.
From the outside looking in, some might question why specific pieces of cardboard are worth more than others, but sports card collectors will do anything for a Mahomes autographed rookie card.
This will be the first time since 2020 that new autographs from the three-time Super Bowl MVP have been in Panini packs. As a result, the company will likely sell hundred of thousands of packs to people that hope to be one of the lucky few that pull one of these new autographed cards.
The last time Mahomes had new autos in packs, the Chiefs star only had one Super Bowl win, as well as just one Most Valuable Player award. Now that he has done even more in his career, Mahomes' autographs might be worth much more.
In addition to securing new endorsement deals, Mahomes will be looking to help the Chiefs redeem themselves in 2025 after a loss in the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this year.
