Chiefs vs. Broncos odds, predictions, picks and best bets

The Kansas City Chiefs host the Denver Broncos in a pivotal Week 10 AFC West matchup.

The Broncos are one of the surprise teams in the NFL this year, but are coming off a rough 31-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens last week. Denver is still in good shape at 5-4, but are facing a challenging two game stretch against the Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons.

The Broncos will lean heavily on their sixth ranked overall defense, which is allowing just over 17 points per game. Quarterback Bo Nix has improved since the beginning of the season, but Denver still ranks in the bottom third of the league in passing and in total offense.

The Chiefs remained the NFL's only undefeated team after a thrilling overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has already developed a great chemistry with new receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and tight end Travis Kelce is back to form after a slow start.

Kansas City's defense has been dominant, ranking fifth overall and third in total points allowed. This week's matchup against the Broncos could be a "trap game" for the Chiefs, coming off a short week and having a big matchup against the Buffalo Bills looming for next week.

Let's take a look at the best odds and best bets for this matchup.

*Odds from FanDuel and subject to change

Chiefs vs. Broncos Moneyline

Chiefs: -420
Broncos: +330

The Broncos typically play the Chiefs pretty tight, and even beat them last year. K.C. also tends to let teams hang around, with six of their eight wins coming by just one possession. However, I believe the Chiefs will take care of business and secure the win as they usually do.

The Broncos are improved, but they showed last week that they're not ready to hang with the big boys. Nix and the Denver defense don't have enough firepower to keep up with the Chiefs, but it does have enough talent defensively to make things tough for the K.C. offense. Avoid the moneyline and bet on the Broncos to cover the spread.

Chiefs vs. Broncos Spread

Chiefs: -8.5 (-110)
Broncos: +8.5 (-110)

Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph has a history of making life difficult for Mahomes and the Chiefs offense. I think K.C. wins another tight game with Denver covering.

Chiefs vs. Broncos Over-Under 41.5 points

Over: -115
Under: -105

Defense should dominate the day for both teams in this game. Bet the under.
