The Cleveland Browns will enter the 2025 NFL draft with an opportunity to reset their franchise. After a demoralizing and disappointing 2024 campaign, Cleveland needs to reenergize their fan base and team. Having 10 total picks in the 2025 draft, the Browns can add some new talent to the roster. In this draft, Cleveland holds the No. 2 overall pick and will have the chance to add much-needed firepower. Revitalizing, retooling and reenergizing should be the three main focuses of this team in the 2025 NFL draft.

Round 1, Pick 2: Travis Hunter CB/WR Colorado

Travis Hunter could be the most electric player in the 2025 draft. Hunter has become a true two-way player, getting close to over 100 snaps every game at both defensive back and wide receiver. With All-pro and Pro Bowl potential, Hunter will be the closest thing to impacting this franchise like Jim Brown did. His ball skills, instincts and fluidness make him a lockdown corner. Also, Hunter can become a number-one receiver with the speed and ability to run a full route tree with great hands.

Round 2, Pick 33: Jalen Milroe QB Alabama

Jalen Milroe is an athletic freak who can play quarterback. He has rare physical traits and a strong arm. Milroe is also a dangerous runner and can break a game wide open. He still needs improvement in making the right reads and processing. Milroe should be a good investment at 33, and he has some traits to become a Lamar Jackson type.

Option 2:Round 2, Pick 33: Trade back into the first round

Multiple reports have suggested that the Browns could try to trade back into the first round and select a quarterback. The Cleveland Browns would be trading back into the first round to draft Shedeur Sanders, a quarterback out of Colorado. There have been rumors that Cleveland loves Sanders, just not at two, and will try to get him later. Sanders ended his collegiate career with a 74% completion rate. He can read and process while many worry about arm strength. Sanders can develop the ability to play rhythmically and on time to combat our talent worries.

Round 3, Pick 67: Quinshon Judkins RB Ohio State

Keeping the Ohio State running back in state, Quinshon Judkins was a part of a spectacular backfield last season. Judkins led the Buckeyes in rushing yards with 1,060 yards. His physical and explosive running style would bode well in the wide zone running scheme. He can run through tackles and make the first man miss. With the hope of Nick Chubb returning, Judkins could be a nice change of pace.

Round 3, Pick 94: Kyle Williams, WR Washington State

Williams is an excellent route runner with even better hands. He will be a chain-moving target in the short-to-intermediate game who can operate out of the slot. Williams will complement the size and speed that is already on the roster.

Round 4, Pick 104: Harold Fannin Jr., TE Bowling Green

Tight ends are a staple in Kevin Stefanski’s offense, and it would be great to add another one to complement starter David Njoku. Harold Fannin Jr. is an excellent pass-catcher who can operate in coverage; he would add a deeper dimension to the Browns’ passing attack.

Round 6 Potential Picks

DT Simeon Barrow, Miami
OT Jalen Travis, Iowa State
S R.J. Mickens, Clemson
DT Ty Hamilton, Ohio State

Round 7, Pick 254: Andrew Armstrong WR, Arkansas

Armstrong is a wide receiver with the potential to grow into an outside receiver. If he can develop his technique and become a consistent wide receiver, he could surprise some people.

Conclusion

In this mock draft, the Cleveland Browns have the opportunity to draft a once-in-a-generation talent in Hunter. Drafting Milore could be a game-changer in changing the quarterback room for the Cleveland Browns. Or even trading back into the first round for Sanders. Coming out with a QB will be game-changing for this franchise. After those picks, filling out the roster for positions of need will complement the draft well.
