Commanders vs. Steelers odds, predictions, picks and best bets
USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Washington to take on the Commanders in what could be the best game of Week 10.

The Commanders are the top surprise team of the 2024 season. Quarterback Jayden Daniels is the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year, leading the third ranked offense in the NFL.

Washington just beefed up its defense by acquiring four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Marshon Lattimore in a trade from the New Orleans Saints. At 7-2, the Commanders are in first place in the NFC East and are pushing to make the playoffs for the first time since 2020.

The Steelers will enter this matchup rested, coming off of their bye week. They are riding a three-game winning streak and are currently atop the competitive AFC North at 6-2.

Pittsburgh has been led by its dominant defense, which ranks second in the NFL in points allowed and sixth overall. Russell Wilson has steadied the Steelers' offense, which is averaging 32 points per game since he took over as the starting quarterback.

Let's take a look at the best odds and best bets for this matchup.

*Odds from Caesars Sportsbook and subject to change

Commanders vs. Steelers Moneyline

Commanders: -145
Steelers: +122

While credit is due to the Commanders for getting their franchise turned around, they have played a relatively easy schedule. Six of their seven wins have been against teams with losing records. Daniels and the Washington offense hasn't faced a defense the caliber of the Steelers.

This should be a close game, but I think Pittsburgh's defense contains the Commanders' offense, and the Steelers play clean and efficiently as usual on offense. Bet the Steelers on the moneyline.

Commanders vs. Steelers Spread

Commanders: -3 (+100)
Steelers: +3 (-120)

Since I'm picking the Steelers to win straight up on the moneyline, there's no need to bet the spread.

Commanders vs. Steelers Over-Under 45.5 points

Over: -110
Under: -110

I don't think either offense will be too explosive in this matchup. Pittsburgh's defense is just too good and should limit the Commanders' offense. Although Washington's defense is pretty middle of the pack, the Steelers are more methodical than explosive on offense. I'm taking the under here.
