Cowboys Coach Offers Micah Parsons 'Wreak Havoc' Update

The Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons continue to remain in talks over a new contract as the NFL Draft approaches.

Our own Mike Fisher has reported that both sides have exchanged contract proposal numbers in several meetings, but here we sit, as April begins, and it doesn't feel like much ground has been made.

Of course, because it is the Cowboys, speculation has run wild that the franchise could trade Micah with a host of scenarios at play, but most know that a Parsons trade would cripple the Cowboys talent-wise. And it also isn't part of the plan.

"I wouldn't think so," Schottenheimer said at the owners meetings this week when asked about a scenario where Micah isn't a Cowboy in 2025. "He's an elite player. He's a guy we think can wreak havoc on opposing offenses for a long time in a Cowboys uniform."

One could only imagine the outrage from Dallas fans and the NFL landscape should the Cowboys trade away one of their best players, and one of the best defensive players in football.

But right now, there's little to suggest that any Parsons trade talk is anything but that.

His brother, Terrance, spoke with Fish and stated that fans will be happy with the contract, and that it will be team-friendly in terms of years, not money, as the $40 million APY appears to be where things are heading.

However, the longer Parsons remains unsigned, the more ammunition the media gets to push these trade ideas out and for them to gain traction.

And as we have continued to state over the past month, there's one way to get all of this nonsense to stop - sign Micah.
