Day 2 of the NFL Draft has concluded, and the Dallas Cowboys could have just made one of the most “that’s a steal” picks in the whole draft.
With the 76th pick in the third round of the draft, the Cowboys took East Carolina cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. He may be coming off of a torn ACL and only three games played in 2024, many believe he has the upside of a second or first-round guy.
The Cowboys were so happy with the pick that owner Jerry Jones did a bit of a dance when they drafted Revel, something that nobody would expect from the 82-year-old executive.
If Revel ends up being as talented as many think he could be in the NFL, then Jones definitely could have even more reasons to dance.

The 24-year-old cornerback finished his junior year at East Carolina with 54 combined tackles, 13 pass deflections, and an interception. He was also able to show his versatility by getting a sack, four tackles for loss, and even recovering one fumble and taking it back for a touchdown.
Is he a “steal”? Some experts believe so …
Congrats #Cowboys fans on new CB Shavon Revel! STEAL at this pick.

Got to work with Shavon before, during and after the @ShrineBowl, and saw him show NFL clubs his growth, football IQ, leadership role at ECU.

With star corner Trevon Diggs coming back from knee surgery that kept him out for the final part of the 2024 season, the Cowboys were looking to bolster their secondary to help him out.
If Revel can live up to expectation and help the team over the top, it will give Jones and the rest of the Cowboys' organization something to dance for.
