Cris Collinsworth Facing Backlash During Chiefs-Chargers Game

Sunday night usually brings with it fan complaints about color analyst Cris Collinsworth - even if that criticism isn't always accurate.

However, whenever he's calling a game the Kansas City Chiefs are involved in, things seem to go off the rails a bit sooner than normal. That was the case once again on Sunday night as the Chiefs faced off against the Los Angeles Chargers in front of a national audience.

Fans immediately rushed to social media to complain about how Collinsworth calls games when the Chiefs are involved - and his love for quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

"I wonder if Chris Collinsworth will be overly impressed with anything Patrick Mahomes does tonight?" one person asked before the game even started.

A quick search on social media shows that fans aren't too pleased with Collinsworth's broadcasting abilities on Sunday night.

"Collinsworth needs to be banned from calling nationally televised games man," one fan said.

"Cris Collinsworth is as pro-KC as Gary Danielson was anti-Oregon in the Big 10 Championship. Neither one should be on the broadcasts for either team," suggested another.

"Is there anything more annoying than listening to Cris Collinsworth announcing football games?" asked a third.

"This game is not interesting enough to listen to Cris Collinsworth," offered another.

"Cris Collinsworth has literally complemented Chiefs players for successfully getting away with cheating twice tonight," claimed another.

As for the actual game, it's been lackluster at best. The Chargers haven't been able to muster much of anything on offense to the tune of just 127 total yards and zero points.

At the end of the first half, Kansas City holds a 13-0 lead, which looks like it might be all Patrick Mahomes and company need.
