The Baltimore Ravens have Super Bowl aspirations and feel like anything less would be a disappointment. They haven’t gotten off to a great start, with just a 1-2 record, largely thanks to two costly fumbles by running back Derrick Henry.
The all-time great rusher lost the ball in the fourth quarter amidst the Buffalo Bills’ historic comeback in Week 1 and fumbled again Monday night during a Ravens comeback attempt.
While his teammates will keep assuring him that one player doesn’t lose an entire game, Henry will not let himself believe that.
The former Offensive Player of the Year spoke to reporters after the game and had a message for the fans. “I apologized to my teammates, my coaches. I apologize to Flock Nation. Just got to keep working,” Henry said.

The former Tennessee Titans star also took blame for the loss against the Bills, but with a fumble in each game so far this season, his ball security is seeming more like a concern than a blip on the radar.
Baltimore’s loss to Buffalo in the playoffs earlier this year was largely due to these same mental errors that continue to haunt the team.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson has taken a ton of heat for his playoff struggles in his career, and when it seemed like he finally exorcised those demons, tight end Mark Andrews dropped a game-tying two-point conversion.
Henry has always been the one destroying his opponents psychologically, but now he is in his own head
He has still been one of the best running backs in the league this season, with 242 yards and three touchdowns in three games, but the fumbles continue to ruin Baltimore’s momentum.
The Ravens believe they can win a Super Bowl, but they’ll need Henry to be much better to do it.
