Tyreek Hill’s 2024 season didn’t go as planned. After two dominant years in Miami, the All-Pro receiver posted just 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns—his lowest totals in nearly half a decade.
The Dolphins missed the playoffs for the first time since 2021, finishing 8–9, and the frustration seemed to boil over for Hill, who said “I’m out” after the team’s season-ending loss to the Jets.
Hill then stoked the fire on social media, posting cryptic messages and changing his profile picture to a meme referencing Antonio Brown’s infamous exit. That was all it took to launch months of speculation about a potential trade.
On Wednesday, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier finally addressed the rumors—making it clear the team isn’t looking to move on from Hill anytime soon.
“That is not anything that we’re pursuing,” Grier said. “Who knows? If someone wants to come and give me two first-round picks, we’ll consider it.”

Head coach Mike McDaniel echoed the sentiment earlier this offseason, saying the team still views Hill as a key leader and expects him to be a big part of offseason workouts.
Hill himself has since taken back some of his earlier comments and said he’s focused on rebuilding chemistry with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Still, the controversy hasn’t gone unnoticed. With a $27.6 million base salary in 2025 and a contract that runs through 2026, Hill remains one of the most expensive—and volatile—players in the league.
