Eagles CB shares surprising reaction following release

In a string of departures for the Philadelphia Eagles, the team has announced the release of veteran cornerback James Bradberry.

Bradberry, who's been with the Eagles since 2022, didn't make an appearance last season during Philly's successful Super Bowl run.

This was an anticipated move from the Eagles - who currently possess two of the NFL's best young defensive backs in Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. It's a pure salary cap decision for the Eagles.

While the news doesn't come as much of a shock, Bradberry's reaction and deep appreciation of his time playing for the franchise was about as classy as it gets.

"You know what? I'm glad I got to experience — one, I would say the Philadelphia Eagles fan base, greatest fan base in the world, Bradberry said, per Zach Berman of PHLY. I'm glad I got to experience the highs and the lows of being a part of the Philadelphia Eagles. I'm going to always cherish these moments that I had, and I'm just thankful that it ended with a Super Bowl ring."

Bradberry's contributions in 2022 - 39 tackles and three interceptions - helped the Eagles go 14-3 and win the NFC Championship.

Philadelphia is in a great place defensively with Jalen Carter, Mitchell and DeJean taking their next steps. However, what Bradberry and Slay did to elevate the defense, as well as the entire organization, will never be forgotten.
