Giants 30 Visit Lineman Among Strongest Fits

With workouts, visits, private meetings, and public press conferences filling social media timelines, it has grown increasingly difficult to keep track of who teams are hosting, who they might be interested in, and what trends are emerging from their offseason work.

One name that’s flown under the radar amongst the flurry of workouts is Purdue offensive lineman Marcus Mbow, who had a visit with the team, per Ryan Fowler.

The New York Giants’ 30 visit offensive lineman is gaining steam as the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, and there’s reason to believe he’d be a strong fit in New York.

At 6-4, 303, Mbow is awfully similar in frame and athleticism to Giants guard Josh Ezeudu. The veteran’s struggles might push fans away from such a similar product, but it’s important to note that Ezeudu’s worst stretches came at tackle. Mbow, with 32-inch arms, is more likely to be drafted as a guard.

He played both guard spots in 2021 and spent the entirety of 2022 at right guard before playing mostly right tackle for his final two seasons. He found success there, largely due to his quick hands, strong technique, and excellent athleticism.

Those traits may make him a better fit in a zone-rushing offense that can weaponize his short-area burst and lateral agility.

The Giants aren’t necessarily hurting for depth at guard after re-signing Aaron Stinnie. Jake Kubas looked the part in limited playing time, too. However, neither Evan Neal or recently signed right tackle Stone Forsythe are part of the team’s long-term plans, and neither is right guard Greg Van Roten. That opens the door for Mbow to provide depth at multiple spots and potentially become a starter in 2026.

As things stand, Mbow remains a target on Day 2, presumably for pick No. 65, when New York kicks off the third round. Such a selection fits both the team’s low-priority need for offensive line help and Mbow’s current value.

His lack of mass, raw power, and arm length could suppress his stock, but his recent success and versatility make him a viable option to land in East Rutherford.
