The New York Giants quarterback situation is fluid for 2025.
What does that mean? Despite the presence of two "name'' QBs who are new to the roster .. That is anyone's guess.
Big Blue signed two free agents in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. They also brought back fan favorite Tommy DeVito.
The Giants are betting on Wilson to lead them through the season.
How does all of that stack up against the rest of the NFL?
Sam Robinson of Yardbarker, in his annual quarterback room assessment, ranks the Giants a surprisingly low 23rd best in the league.
One would think with Wilson running the show in New York, the Giants would have ranked a bit higher. Or, to look at it another way: Are there 22 QB rooms truly better than this one?
Wilson will have three quality receivers he can throw to, featuring last season's rookie sensation Malik Nabers. He will also have Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson.
The real question is who is going to quarterback the Giants after 2025. The Giants might answer that in the NFL Draft, which starts Thursday night in Green Bay. The Giants have recently hooked up with three quarterbacks for private visits.
They are Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, Alabama's Jalen Milroe and Louisville's Tyler Shough. ... and maybe that changes the look and feel of the room.
The Giants are projected, according to recent mocks, to draft either Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter at No. 3 in the first round.
The Giants could conceivably use their second round pick, No. 34, to package together to trade back into the bottom portion of the first round to grab a rookie quarterback.
One thing is clear: The Giants - no matter what we think of the room today - could use a young quarterback to take over from Wilson after the 2025 season.
