The Kansas City Chiefs have a few positions on their roster that must be addressed this offseason. The Chiefs can no longer overlook many issues they have been able to look past because of their success. However, a blowout loss in the Super Bowl changes things.

The Chiefs are still one of the best teams in the league. However, that is only guaranteed to remain the case if they find ways to improve more than what they have so far this offseason. Kansas City must make more moves in free agency and have a successful draft haul.

Like many other teams around the league, the Chiefs have used more of a running-back-by-committee approach. Iyer believes the Chiefs will add running back Omarion Hampton from North Carolina. The talented running back could help light a fire in the group of Chiefs running backs.

He would also likely be productive on the field. While many rightfully believe the Chiefs will use their first-round pick on an offensive lineman, not everyone agrees they should. Kansas City has several other roster issues that must be addressed.

Vinnie Iyer of The Sporting News recently released mock draft predictions for every team in the National Football League. Iyer believes the Chiefs will use the draft to address multiple positions on the offensive side of the ball, as they are undoubtedly a team led by offense.

"The Chiefs can go for a not-so-luxury pick to clean up their backfield five long years after not hitting on Clyde Edwards-Helaire, as Hampton can be the other reliable three-down workhorse in this class," Iyer said.

In the second round, Iyer predicts the Chiefs to select defensive tackle Alfred Collins, from Texas.

"The Chiefs lost some key pieces in their defensive interior, and Collins can give them a little bit of everything with power and strength," Iyer said.

Iyer believes the Chiefs will address those offensive line issues later in the draft instead of using their first-round pick. Instead, they will use a third-round pick on offensive lineman Ozzy Trapilo from Boston College, a school that has produced many successful offensive linemen.

"The Chiefs went a little more for stacking some depth while tabling offensive tackle at first, but they should want to take a shot at their potential future starting right tackle," Iyer said.
