Jason Kelce, brother of Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, officially retires from NFL
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Jason Kelce is officially hanging up his cleats.

The Philadelphia Eagles center announced on Monday that he is retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons, while earning six first-team All-Pro nods and seven Pro Bowls.

The brother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce could become a more prominent fixture at Chiefs games going forward.

Who knows, maybe there will be more shirtless, beer chugging antics at Chiefs game.

Jason posted on X, formally known as Twitter, hinting that he made a decision, "No Keg videos this year, I have come to a decision."

And during a 1 p.m. press conference, he made it official.

Travis was in attendance for the press conference, along with their parents, Donna and Ed Kelce.

And they witnessed as Jason broke down in tears as he realized his playing career had officially come to an end.

Even Travis shed a few tears.

Throughout his 13-year NFL career, Kelce started in 193 games. And in his final year, he did not miss a single game, allowing only one sack and 12 total pressures.

But he is stepping away and will have more time to spend with his family.

Truly one of the best in the game, Jason deserves tons of congratulations from Chiefs Kingdom.
