Jeremiah Predicts Giants Get ‘Nice’ News

This is like Christmas shopping for NFL teams in April.

Here comes the NFL Draft and each team getting to unwrap their presents over one weekend. NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah predicts that in the case of the New York Giants, they will get everything on their wish list.

To use Jeremiah's words, it should be "a very nice" draft for the Giants.

We think the Giants are going to open up their draft - assuming Cam Ward goes first to the Tennessee Titans and Travis Hunter goes second to the Cleveland Browns - with the selection of Penn State outside linebacker Abdul Carter.

It is not the shiny new quarterback that the fans have been clamoring for ever since Daniel Jones was jettisoned out of town, but that will come later in the first round, according to Jeremiah.

He said to look for the Giants to trade back into the first round to select their signal-caller of the future.

“I have (Colorado quarterback) Shedeur (Sanders)as my No. 2,” Jeremiah said. “I wouldn't have a problem if they tried to move up a little to get him. But parting with massive resources to vault way back up there, I don't know that I would love that."

Jeremiah also spoke very highly of Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart as another possibility for the Giants in the latter part of the first round. He said they are going to have to play leapfrog and jump over the Pittsburgh Steelers, who appear to possibly be poised to draft Dart if he is still available.

They would have to trade with the Denver Broncos who sit at 20 and draft right before the Steelers at 21.

Jeremiah said if the Giants could get Carter, a capable quarterback and the best player available in the third round it would be "a really nice haul for the Giants."
