Jets Prediction Could Help Broncos Land Perfect Addition

The Denver Broncos know this off-season will be critical in finding help to put around young star quarterback Bo Nix.

Nix threw for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns in 17 games, but that production came without having a 1,000-yard rusher out of the backfield.

Javonte Williams led Broncos running backs with 513 rushing yards and only scored four touchdowns, so there wasn't much production from the running back room.

Williams will hit free agency this offseason, and if Denver doesn't want to resign the 24-year-old running back, they will have to go all out on finding their next starter.

The Broncos sit with the No. 20 pick in this year's draft, and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, the Heisman runner-up last season, is the No. 1 running back in this year's class.

It could be a longshot for Jeanty to fall to No. 20, leaving Denver to try and acquire their star running back in a trade.

Craig Moffett from JetsWire released his six predictions for the Jets' offseason. He believes the team should trade star running back Breece Hall.

"Hall seems like the odd man out, especially after the Jets drafted Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis last year." Moffett wrote. "While one can argue Hall should have been more involved in the offense, he only had 14 less carries in 2024 compared to 2023 and lacked that explosiveness we've come to love about his running style. His value may never be higher in a potential trade, especially with Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry making the position important again."

Hall, 23, is entering his fourth NFL season. Last year, he rushed for 876 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games.

New York is taking a new offensive approach this year, not bringing back 41-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Hall is entering the final year of his contract, and if the Jets aren't willing to give him a new deal, Denver could be a great fit.

The Broncos would get the star running back they're looking for without using a first-round pick and can give him the contract extension he wants, as Nix is still on his rookie deal.
