Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre is set to be the focus of a new documentary.

Few athletes have combined higher highs with lower lows than Favre, who was a three-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion as a player but also saw his playing career and post-playing days marred by scandal. Fans will be get a look into all sides of the 11-time Pro Bowler in an upcoming Netflix documentary.

Netflix announced Monday that Favre will be the subject of one of the newest installments of the streaming service's UNTOLD documentaries. UNTOLD: The Fall of Favre will premiere on May 20.

Directed by Rebecca Gitlitz, the film is one of three UNTOLD productions released next month.

“I’ve always been drawn to the stories filled with nuance and complexity, and when it comes to sports biggest stars, what’s on the other side of fame?” Gitlitz said in a press release. “The UNTOLD series has shown time and time again that they are willing to tell unfiltered stories no matter the depth.

“So, making this film on Brett Favre for this series felt like the worlds were aligning. This story about one of the greatest quarterbacks in history goes beyond touchdowns and epic wins and lifts the lid on how when fame rises, sometimes accountability falls. It was made with the intention of laying out patterns of behaviors, told from the people who lived with the consequences of Favre’s actions, to ask audiences to consider if success should be a shield for harmful behavior. Ultimately, the film challenges all of us to consider when we let our heroes go too far, who is to blame? And when the dust settles, can we have honest conversations about the humanity of all of those involved.”

According to Front Office Sports, Favre's sexual harassment scandal involving Jenn Sterger, as well as his alleged involvement in the Mississippi welfare scandal, will be featured in the documentary.

The other topics covered on this upcoming season of UNTOLD are the 2009 locker room gun incident involving former Washington Wizards guards Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittendon as well as the rise of and controversy surrounding fitness influencer Brian Johnson, best known as "The Liver King."
