The New England Patriots have been busy this offseason. Mike Vrabel and company are looking to take a huge step forward in 2025 and the moves they have made this offseason will help them accomplish that goal.

Most recently, the Patriots signed star free agent wide receiver Stefon Diggs. That move was a bold decision to bring in elite help for young quarterback Drake Maye.

Before that addition, New England had signed players like defensive tackle Milton Williams, offensive tackle Morgan Moses, cornerback Carlton Davis, linebacker Robert Spillane, and pass rusher Harold Landry, among plenty of other additions.

On the outside looking in, the Patriots look like a much better football team now than when they ended the 2024 season.

Following the move to sign Diggs, New England received a head-turning prediction for the 2025 season from one NFL executive.

Mike Sando of The Athletic has shared that one executive believes the Patriots are going to improve in a big way this season.

“That is not an accident,” the exec told Sando in a column published Wednesday. “The number for Diggs is not problematic. That is the difference in having a coach like Mike Vrabel, who is not going to be scared off by a player like Diggs. You watch, they will make a mark this year and be a tough out. They will beat a Buffalo or someone like that.”

New England fans have reason to be very excited. Robert Kraft wants to power the Patriots back to contention and the team has been spending big to make that happen.

Next up, the team will have another chance to improve with the 2025 NFL draft set to begin on April 24.
