The Cleveland Browns badly need to figure out their quarterback situation long-term. To that end, they have been heavily connected to Colorado Buffaloes' standout quarterback Shedeur Sanders as a target with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
While the connections and rumors surrounding Sanders have been very loud for the Browns, a new report has stated that Travis Hunter is the likely pick for them.
If that is true, Cleveland would be waiting until the second round at No. 33 overall before taking a quarterback. There could be an interesting option available in that area of the draft.
One NFL insider, Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network, has revealed a surprising update on what the Browns could choose to do.
Jeremiah made an appearance on the "Up & Adams Show" and once again shared information about Cleveland's interest in Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe.
"I think it would be a surprise if he went in the first round. But there's been you know, you hear all kinds of stuff during these these last few weeks," he said. "And one of the teams I have heard him connected to is Cleveland. So that's not going to be up there, you know, where Cleveland's picking in the top of the first round. But in kind of that let's get the fifth-year option scenario, let's try and get back in and take one late. You know, maybe potentially that's where he could fall in."

Milroe will surprisingly attend the draft in Green Bay. Most of the team, players who won't go in the first round don't show up. He might know something others don't.
Perhaps the Browns are indeed planning to trade back into the late stage of the first round to draft him.
