2021 NFL three-round mock draft

Lawrence is all but certain to be the No. 1 overall pick to the Jags. The Clemson star could be the best quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck, with every physical quality scouts like and the track record to back up the pure talent. He will also get time to develop under new Jags head coach Urban Meyer, and the team has the cap room to add weapons for him this offseason. Lawrence finished 2020 completing more than 69% of his passes for 3,153 yards and 24 touchdowns in 10 games, and he also contributed eight rushing scores.

With the trade of Sam Darnold, Wilson looks to be heading to New York. Wilson is coming off a brilliant season in which he completed 73.5% of his passes for 3,692 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also shows above-average mobility. 

The speculation remains rampant for San Francisco's quarterback choice, and it's clear they will select a quarterback after mortgaging the future to trade up. Jones did a lot to help his stock in 2020 and the Senior Bowl, and his great accuracy (77.4% in 2020) could make the transition easier.

The Falcons will likely see plenty of offers for the No. 4 overall pick, but it remains to be seen if they'll make a trade. Keeping the pick and taking a generational tight talent in Pitts has to be enticing. Injury issues limited Pitts to eight games in 2020, but he still had 43 catches for 770 yards and 12 touchdowns. His incredible 4.44 second 40 time at Pro Day means that he won't last long.

The offensive line continues to be an issue for Cincinnati, even after signing tackle Riley Reiff this offseason. Sewell would be the No. 1 prospect in the draft in many years, but the rush for quarterbacks could cause him to drop.

Miami has a solid No. 1 wideout in DeVante Parker, but Chase could put the receiving attack on another level. Chase opted out of the 2020 season, but he was an incredible prospect before then. Chase had an amazing 84 catches for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2019 opposite Vikings star Justin Jefferson.

The Lions traded Matthew Stafford for Jared Goff in the offseason. Goff only turns 27 in October, but Detroit could still look for another solution after his struggles last season. The versatile Fields was highly productive over the last two seasons, finishing last year with 22 touchdown passes and five rushing scores over eight games.

Waddle missed much of 2020 with an ankle injury but was able to return for the National Championship. If healthy, he has the potential to be the steal of the draft, giving Sam Darnold another deep threat to go along with D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson.

With Drew Lock's struggles over his first two seasons, Denver might go back to the well for a quarterback. Lance is a great prospect but could use some development time, coming from FCS power North Dakota State. 

Dallas desperately needs help in every area of the defense, but their leaky secondary was particularly an issue last season. Surtain is an elite prospect, with the pedigree to boot after his father's 11-year NFL career that included three Pro Bowls.

The Giants offensive line made nice strides last season, but they could still use more help. Slater had an outstanding career at tackle for the Wildcats but could also kick inside to guard if needed.

The Eagles drafted Jalen Reagor in the first round last year, but they need far more wide receiver help. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Smith, has significantly helped his stock in the past season. Smith had an insane 117 catches for 1,856 yards and 24 total touchdowns in 2020. 

The offensive line was a big issue for the Chargers for much of 2020 and should be prioritized as the team tries to protect Justin Herbert, Vera-Tucker could help at either guard or tackle immediately for the team.

The loss of tackle Riley Reiff exacerbates what was already a major weakness for Minnesota. Darrisaw developed into a strong first-round prospect in 2020 who could fill in.

New England has Dont'a Hightower returning this year, but he's near the end of his career and coming off an opt-out season. Parsons opted out of 2020 after recording 109 tackles and five sacks for the Nittany Lions in 2019.

Arizona lost Patrick Peterson in the offseason and is in the market for cornerback help. Horn, the son of former Saints wideout Joe Horn, opted out of the 2020 season after putting enough on tape to garner early first-round consideration. He helped his stock with a blazing 4.37 second 40 time at Pro Day.

The trade of Trent Brown puts the Raiders in the market for a right tackle. Jenkins has emerged as a first-round prospect after a strong career at Oklahoma State and would be able to step in immediately.

Miami has done well to build their defense through free agency over the last two offseasons, but they still need help at linebacker. Davis has great size at 6-foot-4 and recorded 104 tackles last season.

Washington is on the cusp of having an elite defense but has to strengthen their linebackers. Owusu-Koramoah would fill a major need at linebacker and was a major playmaker for the second straight season at Notre Dame, with 62 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 12 games.

Chicago lost Kyle Fuller this offseason, and corner remains a need. Farley opted out of the 2020 season as a potential first-round pick who had four interceptions in his final college season.

The potential loss of free agent Justin Houston puts Indy in need of a pass rusher. Phillips is a transfer from UCLA who had a breakout 2020 season with eight sacks in 10 games.

Few teams need a cornerback more than the Titans, who lost Malcolm Butler in the offseason. Newsome had some injury issues in college but is a great press corner prospect.

The Jets need to add talent to Quinnen Williams on the defensive line. Paye could step in now, with 8.5 sacks in 16 games over the last two years.

The Steelers let James Conner walk this offseason, and don't have a clear starting running back entering 2021. Harris has a very high ceiling, finishing last season with 1,891 yards from scrimmage and 30 touchdowns.

Safety is a major need for the Jags going into the draft. Moehrig could be a long-term fit, showing great productivity for the Horned Frogs over the last two seasons with 109 tackles and six interceptions.

Cleveland added Anthony Walker this offseason but could be looking at another linebacker in the draft. Collins was a breakout playmaker for Tulsa at linebacker in 2020 with 54 tackles and four interceptions in eight games.

The Ravens signed Sammy Watkins, but they need more options given his propensity for injuries. After opting out of the 2020 season, Bateman ran a 4.39 40-yard dash and would be another deep threat for Lamar Jackson.

The Saints have struggled to surround Michael Thomas with other viable receiving options, and that's an even bigger issue now after losing Emmanuel Sanders and Jared Cook. Toney is a nice fit for Sean Payton's offense as a speedy playmaker who could help in a variety of ways. The former Florida star had a breakout year with 984 yards receiving in 11 games and ran a 4.41 40 time at Pro Day.

The Packers need immediate offensive line help, particularly at right tackle. Eichenberg could fill in immediately and comes from a long line of successful Notre Dame linemen.

The Bills could be looking to get younger on the edges, finding a long-term replacement for Jerry Hughes. Ojulari is a quick edge pass rusher who had a terrific 2020, recording 9.5 sacks in 10 games.

The Ravens added Alejandro Villanueva to replace Orlando Brown at right tackle, but still need help at guard. Leatherwood's stock dropped a bit during the 2020 season, but he remains a strong prospect who could move to guard at the next level.

The Bucs have yet to re-sign Antonio Brown, so they could look to replace him with their first pick. Moore lacks size at 5-foot-9, but he ran a 4.34 second 40 time and had 86 catches, 1,193 yards, and eight touchdowns in only eight games last year. 

Defensive line help is high on Jacksonville's list to help young star, Josh Allen. Barmore has a chance to be a dominant interior player and recorded eight sacks in 11 games in 2020.

Running back is a dire area of need for the Jets, whose best option currently is Lamical Perine. Etienne is a perfect fit as a multi-dimensional back who ran a blazing 4.4 second 40 time at Pro Day. The only big concern is his production decline last year (5.4 yards per carry) after averaging over seven yards per touch in each of his first three seasons at Clemson.

The Falcons added Mike Davis in the offseason, but he might not be the answer at running back. Williams averaged 7.3 yards per carry at UNC last season, and also shows capable as a receiver.

Miami has a strong, young defensive line, but needs to add more depth. Oweh had 38 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss, in seven games during 2020.

The defensive line has been one of the pillars of Philly's recent success, but they need to get young inside. Onwuzurike opted out of the 2020 season, but he's a top interior prospect who impressed at the Senior Bowl.

The loss of A.J. Green creates a need at wideout for Cincy, and Marshall would be a convenient addition. Marshall finished 2020 with 48 catches for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns in only seven games and has experience catching passes from Joe Burrow at LSU.

Dickerson's stock has likely dropped after tearing his ACL last season, but that could make him a nice second-round value. He could help the Panthers at guard.

Denver seems optimistic about the return of right tackle Ja'Wuan James, but a young alternative would be welcome. Cosmi played the left side at Texas but could switch to the right side and fill in immediately.

Detroit's complete need for a rebuild includes the defensive line. Rousseau opted out of 2020 but had 15.5 sacks in 2019 for the Hurricanes.

The Giants need more pass rush depth. Tryon opted out of the 2020 season at Washington but has the athleticism to be a nice project.

The loss of Richard Sherman creates a need for more depth at corner for San Francisco. Campbell is in the first-round conversation after running a sub-4.4 40 at Pro Day and also has good size at 6-foot-2.

Dallas needs defensive line help after losing Aldon Smith. They could play Basham at defensive tackle immediately.

The Jags should be looking to surround Trevor Lawrence with weapons, and Tyler Eifert isn't a long-term answer at tight end. Freiermuth is coming off a back injury but has interesting Red Zone potential.

The Pats added Devon Godchaux this offseason but could use more rotational defensive line help. Nixon is a potential role player with pass-rush potential, recording 5.5 sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss last season.

The loss of Casey Hayward has made cornerback a need for the Chargers. The younger Samuel had a great career at Florida State, peaking last year with three picks in eight games.

The Raiders took two wideouts early in last year's draft but might need be able to overlook Moore's speed. Moore is just 5-foot-7 but ran an incredible 4.29 second 40 time, and would make a great complement to the speedy Henry Ruggs.

Arizona already improved their offensive line this offseason by adding center Rodney Hudson, but they still need more help. Radunz could play the right side or potentially move inside to guard.

The Dolphins need more interior offensive line depth. Humphrey is a potential plug-and-play at center in the second round.

Washington has a major need for another starting safety next to Landon Collins. Grant was a playmaker over the last three seasons at UCF, with 10 total interceptions and big tackle numbers.

Mills has limited college experience and didn't put up big numbers in either of the last two seasons at Stanford, but he has elite arm talent. Chicago should be on the lookout for their long-term starter.

Tennessee's drafting of tackle Isaiah Wilson last year was a disaster, so they still have a need for youth on the offensive line  Mayfield has so-so athleticism that could push him to late in the first day or early in the second day of the draft, though he offers decent upside.

The Colts center the draft with an immediate need at middle linebacker. Bolton was a playmaking machine at Mizzou, recording a total of 198 tackles over the last two seasons.

The Steelers have lost major talent on the offseason line, including left tackle Alejandro Villanueva. Carman is a solid tackle who could step in immediately.

Seattle is in dire need of wide receiver help behind D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Brown had back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons at North Carolina, averaging better than 20 yards per catch, so he's a perfect fit as a deep threat.

The Rams badly need help on the interior of their offensive line. Meinerz impressed in the Senior Bowl after sitting out in 2020.

A defensive end is a big need for the Chiefs. Ossai moved from inside linebacker to the edge in college and is still a work in progress. However, he had 10.5 sacks over the last two seasons at Texas, and his potential should get his name called early in the draft. 

Cleveland has Odell Beckham returning from injury and likes what they saw from Donovan Peoples-Jones last year, but more wideout depth is still needed. Atwell can fly, running a 4.32 40 time in his pro day to make up for his 5-foot-9 height. He had 1,272 yards receiving in 2019 before regressing to 625 yards in nine games last year.

New Orleans needs linebacker help, especially with Demario Davis in his early 30's. The 6-foot-4 Cox had three picks and 6.5 tackles for loss for the Tigers last season.

Buffalo needs more cornerback help to complement Tre'Davious White. Joseph had a strong Pro Day after recording four picks in 2020.

The Packers have solid youth at corner but could use a starter in the slot. Robinson is a strong Day 2 prospect who could fit nicely either on the outside or as a slot corner.

The loss of Sammy Watkins creates an opening at wide receiver for the Chiefs. Schwartz has electric speed, running 4.26 second 40, and the Chiefs have put a premium on wideout speed since drafting Patrick Mahomes.

The Bucs have one of the best defensive lines in the league but need to develop young players for the future. Perkins recorded 16.5 sacks in three seasons for the Sooners and should be a solid rotational player for now.

The Jags need to add to the secondary after drafting C.J. Henderson in the first round last year. Stokes could potentially start immediately for Jacksonville.

The Jets continue their seemingly annual revamp of the offensive line with a need on the interior. Davis should be able to step in immediately at guard.

Houston desperately needs help at all three levels of the defense and particularly at linebacker. Surratt had consecutive seasons with over 90 tackles, along with 12.5 sacks.

Atlanta's secondary has been a weak spot for years and remains that way despite spending a first-rounder on corner A.J. Terrell last year. Melifonwu is a nice fit as a huge developmental press corner at 6-foot-3.

Cincinnati tried to revamp their secondary for the second straight offseason but still need more depth. Molden is undersized at 5-foot-10 but had a productive college career.

Philly signed Anthony Harris in the offseason but needs more safety help. Cisco missed last season due to a torn ACL but was considered a first-round prospect before the injury.

Even after adding Kyle Fuller, the Broncos could use more help at corner. Adebo opted out of 2020 at Stanford, but could still step in immediately.

Wide receiver is a dire need for Detroit after losing Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones, and Danny Amendola. Wallace had over 900 yards in three consecutive seasons for the Cowboys and is an interesting deep threat.

Carolina saw excellent results from second-round safety Jeremy Chinn last year, and could go back to the well for another safety. Holland might have hurt his stock after opting out of 2020 but had nine picks in his first two seasons at Oregon.

Washington added Curtis Samuel this offseason but still need more wideout depth. Eskridge is an excellent complementary prospect as a 5-foot-9 slot man who could also handle return duties.

The Cowboys have been in search of a long-term tight end since the departure of Jason Witten. Long was a productive receiver over the last two seasons at Boston College, including 57 catches last year.

The Giants could be looking for linebacker help next to Blake Martinez. A big, productive linebacker at OSU, Werner recorded at least 54 tackles in each of the last three seasons.

The Chargers need help at inside linebacker, and Browning is bursting with athleticism. He didn't produce big stats for the Buckeyes but could be a nice find late on the second day.

Wade has seen his value fall over the last year but remains a Day 2 possibility. The legal troubles for 2020 first-round pick Jeff Gladney put Minnesota in the running for another corner.

The Raiders brought back Karl Joseph, but he's probably not the answer at safety. Nasirldeen missed much of last season due to a knee injury but is a big, productive safety who produced huge tackle numbers in college.

The Raiders are always in need of more pass rushers, and Turner shows plus potential. Turner had recording five sacks in five games last season.

Myles Gaskin did a nice job as Miami's starting back last year but could use some help. Gainwell looks like a solid third-down back, as an undersized back who had 51 catches and over 2,000 yards from scrimmage in 2019 before opting out last season.

Trask had a breakout 2020 season for the Gators and was briefly mentioned as a top Heisman candidate. He could use some time to learn, and there are few better quarterbacks to learn behind than Ryan Fitzpatrick. Trask is coming off a brilliant senior season completing 68.9% of his passes for 4,283 yards and 43 touchdowns.

The disappointing development of Anthony Miller has made wideout a need for Chicago. Rodgers has plenty of athleticism as had 77 catches for 1,020 yards and seven scores in his senior season at Clemson.

The Eagles are looking toward Jalen Hurts as their new starting quarterback, but some long-term competition can't be ruled out. Mond had a storied career for the Aggies but needs to develop his accuracy. The mobile quarterback has a similar skill set and pedigree as Hurts, but could potentially be a better version.

The loss of Jonnu Smith creates a need at tight end for the Titans. Jordan is slightly undersized but was highly productive in college, including seven touchdowns last season.

Among the Jets' many needs, cornerback is one of their biggest. St-Juste is a raw cornerback out of Canada, but his raw physical ability should be intriguing on the second day of the draft.

Defensive line depth is one of many needs for the cap-strapped Steelers. McNeill had 10 sacks in three seasons for the Wolfpack and is a nice interior fit.

Jones is coming off back-to-back productive seasons, combining for 17.5 sacks. The Rams are in search of pass rushers to help Aaron Donald.

Cleveland has done a great job building their offensive line but still needs some insurance. A giant 6-foot-8 tackle, Brown is one of the most athletic linemen in the draft and could add excellent depth.

Minnesota's lack of defensive line depth was apparent last year after Danielle Hunter's injury. Koonce is somewhat undersized but could be a nice rotational player after recording 13 sacks over the last two seasons at Buffalo.

Cleveland needs interior line depth after cutting Sheldon Richardson, and Williams shows big potential. He has highly productive over the last two years with 10 sacks.

The Packers have been known to double down when they have a need and could do that with the offensive line in this year's draft. Hudson could need time to develop, but his athleticism should entice NFL teams.

A former top high school prospect, Smith's college career was disrupted by a blood clot issue. If his health checks out, he shows immense second-day upside as a mauling guard and a good fit for a team that likes to run the ball in Buffalo.

The Ravens have needed safety help since cutting Earl Thomas before last season. Washington was a takeaway machine in 2019 with five picks in 12 games before regressing last year.

The Bucs are comfortable with their starting linemen but have some major depth issues. Little opted out of 2020 but has significant experience at left tackle.

The Patriots have good secondary depth, albeit aged. Johnson had seven picks over the last three seasons, playing the pass well.

The Chargers are in the market for wide receiver depth to help Justin Herbert. Collins has great upside at 6-foot-4 and is another potential deep threat.

The Saints have been elite at stopping the run recently, but need more youth on the interior of their defensive line. Wilson was a former top recruit but saw his stock drop after a poor senior year.

The Cowboys lack of offensive line depth was exposed last year. Forsythe has extensive experience at left tackle but also started earlier in his career on the right side.

The loss of Corey Davis has created a need for Tennessee. Houston manufactured ways to get the ball do Stevenson over the last three years, with 2,500 yards from scrimmage for his career. He'd be an excellent complement to A.J. Brown.

Odighizuwa recorded 11.5 sacks in four seasons at UCLA, and he has the versatility to play anywhere on the line. He could play immediately for the Lions.

The 49ers have an excellent, young wide receiver tandem with Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, but need more depth after losing Kendrick Bourne. St. Brown is coming off a sub-par junior season but had over 1,000 yards in 2019.

The loss of Gerald Everett puts the Rams on the prowl for a second tight end. Tremble didn't put up big numbers at Notre Dame and is somewhat undersized, but he shows big upside potential.

The Ravens could add multiple offensive linemen as they look to revamp their interior depth. Cleveland would immediately be one of the biggest guards in the NFL, and a great fit for a team that likes to run the ball.

The Saints need to find cornerback help, and there are a lot of good options on the second day. Vincent is likely best fit as a slot corner but is still in a development stage after opting out of 2020.
