With his NFL career winding down, former Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr. appears to be eyeing a new venture.
Beckham spent last season with the Miami Dolphins but appeared in just nine games. He signed a one-year, $3 million deal with Miami but was released in December. During his time with the Dolphins, Beckham caught just nine passes for 55 yards.
Beckham, 32, was once one of the league's biggest stars but his future is now in question. But OBJ has been keeping himself busy and announced a new "platform" that will launch in New Orleans during Super Bowl week.
"Been workin on this one for a minute, 1st installment goin live in NOLA. Had to kick this off for my city!" said Beckham, who played his college ball at LSU. "Welcome to FRI&NDS."
Beckham is the founder of "FRI&NDS" and describes it as a "platform rooted in culture, content and live events."
Beckham has some rooting interest in the Super Bowl. His former New York Giants teammate Saquon Barkley is starring for the Philadelphia Eagles. Beckham gave Barkley a shoutout after the Eagles advanced to the Super Bowl to face the Kansas City Chiefs.
"You deserve everything u getting brudda," Beckham wrote in a social media post.
Philadelphia is a slight 1.5-point underdog for the big game, which will be played at Caesars Superdome.
