Oxford, Mississippi, has become hallowed grounds for developing some of the best talent across the NFL. The Ole Miss football program routinely churns out high-end professional players, beginning with guys like Eli Manning and Deuce McAllister, and continuing with players like Laremy Tunsil, D.J. Jones and Evan Engram.

Those players passed the torch to current All-Pro players like D.K. Metcalf and A.J. Brown, who recently won Super Bowl LIX with the Philadelphia Eagles. As a Mississippi native, Brown has always held the University and football program in high regard.

He is the ideal alumnus for the school as he participates in various charitable activities and constantly credits his time as a Rebel for his current success.

Now, the Super Bowl champion will have the opportunity to pay the school back for all it provided him. On Thursday, the University announced that Brown would speak at the school's commencement program on May 10, set to take place in The Grove.

"It is an honor to welcome A.J. Brown back to campus as our 2025 Commencement speaker," Chancellor Glenn Boyce said. "He is the epitome of excellence, determination and service – all characteristics that our graduates will need as they embark on the next steps in their own journeys."

This special opportunity is not bestowed upon just any person who attended Ole Miss. Brown is a special figure, both on and off the field, that any Rebel can idolize.

"I remember being here at Ole Miss, wondering what my future would look like, dreaming big but not really knowing what was ahead," Brown said. "To stand up there now, with experience, with some success under my belt and with the same hunger I had back then, it's a blessing."
