Patriots Predicted To Land NFL Combine Riser

Who the New England Patriots will choose with the No. 4 pick in April's NFL Draft looks a little more uncertain after last week's scouting combine.

NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein believes the Patriots will go for Missouri junior offensive tackle Armand Membou, who impressed at the combine. He posted a 4.91-second 40-yard dash, and he had a 34-inch vertical leap plus a 9-foot-7 broad jump.

"LSU product Will Campbell is tough, but so is Membou — and the Missouri tackle has less technique to clean up," Zierlein wrote. "Let's put a new face into the fourth pick of the draft, giving New England the best offensive lineman on my board."

Campbell has been a consideration for the Patriots, but Zierlein has him slipping to No. 7 with the New York Jets. Zierlein believes Campbell will pan out despite the prediction that the Patriots will grab Membou instead.

"Campbell's a player who can add toughness and football character to this lineup at right tackle," Zierlein wrote.

As for Membou, Pro Football Focus reported that Membou gave up zero sacks and quarterback hits in 2024. That's great news for the Patriots, who gave up 52 sacks last year — a number that needs to change in 2025.
