The Philadelphia Eagles and Center Cam Jurgens agreed on a four-year $68 million contract extension. His contract includes $39.4 million guaranteed which makes him the second highest-paid center in the National Football League. Only Creed Humphrey of the Kansas City Chiefs is higher paid at his position than Jurgens.

Jurgens took over for Center Jason Kelce this season and played the position admirably. It earned him a Pro Bowl selection and a Super Bowl win. According to PFF, Jurgens was the No. 17 center in the NFL last year. Will he continue anchoring the offensive line of the Philadelphia Eagles for years to come?

Philadelphia Eagles Offseason Summary

Jurgens is the latest example of the Eagles doubling down on its offensive line. The team also added a few key pieces on the defensive side of the ball. They signed Edge Rushers Azeez Ojulari and Josh Uche. They also signed Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson.

Even though the Philadelphia Eagles had a thrilling Super Bowl victory, they did a solid job bolstering its roster heading into the NFL Draft. The bulk of the team’s losses came on the defense. They remain one of the NFL’s deepest rosters.

Final Thoughts

Jurgens is a solid signing by the Philadelphia Eagles. He had a great 2024 and was rewarded with a lucrative contract extension. It also illustrates a team all-in on winning another Super Bowl in 10 months.
