Raiders awarded two compensatory picks in 2025 Draft

The Las Vegas Raiders have had one of the busiest offseasons so far of any team in the NFL.

With new head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Spytek coming in, the Raiders were headed for something of an overhaul. Some parts of the process have been dedicated to keeping talent like Maxx Crosby around, while other moves such as the Geno Smith trade were to help establish a new direction. Between free agency and the draft, the Raiders are going to receive an injection of new blood throughout their roster.

On Tuesday, the Raiders ended up getting more opportunities to implement their new vision.

The Raiders have been awarded two compensatory draft picks due to moves made last offseason.

Both picks are confirmed to be in the sixth round, with the Raiders receiving overall picks 213 and 215.

According to the compensatory pick formula, the Raiders initially had five players eligible to grant the team an extra selection. However, deals for defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, quarterback Gardner Minshew and tight end Harrison Bryant offset three of those selections. Therefore, the Raiders received two compensatory picks.

The picks the Raiders received were among 35 compensatory selections, spread out across 15 different teams.

With the compensatory picks now added to the Raiders’ war chest, they currently enter next month’s draft with nine picks. They hold a pick in each round, with three of them coming in the sixth round. The Raiders can still acquire more or use their current picks in trades (tight end Michael Mayer is an example of a potential option, in this regard), but this is where things stand for now.

The Raiders and their fans hope that Carroll and Spytek use these extra picks wisely.
