According to News3lv.com and a police report, the Las Vegas Raiders’ defensive end, Charles Snowden, was discovered to have passed out in his vehicle. Immediately after being found, he was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Once he was arrested, Snowden, 26 was booked on Tuesday, December 10th on suspicion of driving under the influence, which is a misdemeanor.
The detailed police report lists the details of the incident and arrest. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said they received a call at about 11:30 p.m. on Monday about a suspicious vehicle found in the area of Rainbow Boulevard and Sunset Road.
The responding officer is said to have found Snowden “passed out behind the wheel” of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The engine was reportedly running, and the car was neutral.
It is also reported that police knocked on the window and door to attempt to wake Snowden up but to no avail. The arresting officer also said he would “look around but not seem to see the officers and fall back asleep.” The officers knocked on the vehicle for 10 minutes.
Once Snowden finally woke up, he reportedly “was unsteady on his feet and had to be held up.”
Snowden was later released on his own recognizance. He is due in court for his arraignment on Tuesday, December 17th.
The Raiders have not made any comments on the arrest.
