The Los Angeles Rams head north to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in a pivotal NFC West divisional showdown.
The Rams kept their season alive with a 30-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings last week, moving to 3-4. The returns of Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp made all the difference in the world for Los Angeles as they racked up a combined 13 catches for 157 yards and a touchdown.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford easily had his best game of the season, throwing for 279 yards and four touchdowns. The Rams are only one game out of first place in the NFC West, but unfortunately the other three teams in the division are all ahead of them at 4-4.
There's no shame in losing to the Buffalo Bills, but the Seahawks didn't envision suffering a 31-10 blowout loss at home to them. Seattle's rushing attack was non-existent and quarterback Geno Smith struggled without his top wideout in D.K. Metcalf.
The Seahawks need to find some consistency after losing four of their last five games. With its next three games all being against NFC West opponents, Seattle has a golden opportunity to take control of the division.
Let's take a look at the odds and best bets for this matchup.
*Odds from Caesars Sportsbook and subject to change
Rams: -130
Seahawks: +110
The Rams are hitting their stride now that they're healthy and have their full complement of weapons. They're also no strangers to putting things together following slow starts, finishing the 2023 season at 10-7 after a 3-6 start.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks are reeling and may be without Metcalf again this week. I do think Seattle will play L.A. close, so I'm taking the Rams straight up on the moneyline.
Rams: -2 (-110)
Seahawks: +2 (-110)
The Seahawks could definitely cover here in what should be a close, somewhat unpredictable game, as most divisional matchups are. It isn't worth betting the spread for just slightly more winnings.
Over: -100
Under: -100
The strength of both of these teams are their offenses, with each defense being pretty subpar. I'll bet the over here, but make sure to monitor the health status of Metcalf.
Williams has scored at least one touchdown in every game this season. He has been the workhorse of the Rams' offense, getting over 20 touches in every game but one. Williams now faces a Seattle defense that ranks 29th against the run, making this a very high percentage bet.
Walker is tied for third in the league in rushing touchdowns with six, and also has one receiving touchdown. His matchup against the Rams' defense is appealing, as it is allowing 139 rushing yards per game this season. Walker could be in for a big workload given the Seahawks' recent struggles in the passing game.
