Report: Chicago Bears Are Considering NFL Draft Trade

The Chicago Bears enter the 2025 NFL Draft with the tenth overall pick in the first round.

They won four of their first six games during the 2024 season before losing 10 of their last 11 to end the season. They finished 5-12 and have a new head coach (Ben Johnson) after they fired Matt Eberflus during the 2024 season.

They want to start improving in 2025, and despite having a high pick, according to Pat Leonard, the Bears are looking to trade up in the draft. He has also been told that six teams ahead of the Bears are interested in moving back.

This is good news for the Bears since they can call any of these reported six teams ahead of them and see if they want to swing a deal.

They're looking to make a little bit of a splash even though the draft is being held in Green Bay, home of their biggest rival (the Packers). The Bears are going into year two with Caleb Williams as quarterback after he was taken first overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Williams played in all 177 games during the 2024 season, finishing with 3,541 yards through the air, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He will be developed by Johnson, who was one of the top offensive coordinators in the NFL these last two years with the Detroit Lions

He was the Bears' top target for their head-coaching position, and they were super glad when he took the job. The Bears have missed the playoffs in each of the last four seasons and 12 of the last 14.

The 2025 NFL Draft will start on Thursday night. ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network will provide coverage of the annual event.
