Report: Deshaun Watson narrows choices to Falcons, Saints

It appears that three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson may have narrowed his list of potential future employers down to two NFL teams: the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints.

It was reported that the embattled career-long Houston Texans signal-caller has "interest" in the Falcons, and ultimately met with the organization on Wednesday. This came after Watson — a former ball boy with Atlanta — had already met with members of the Saints and Carolina Panthers brass earlier in the week.

According to Nick Underhill, Watson met again with members of New Orleans franchise on Wednesday night. Among those reportedly in attendance was Saints principal owner Gayle Benson.

The news of Watson's second meeting with New Orleans came alongside an intriguing tweet from ESPN's Field Yates regarding the team's cap space situation.

Senior NFL reporter Albert Breer noted that the Saints have been targeting Watson for a while now.

It's been reported that Houston is seeking a trade package of three first-round draft picks and multiple other assets for Watson, who has a no-trade clause in his contract.
