Former NFL superstar tight end Rob Gronkowski hit the news cycle amid rumors of his return to the league via the Denver Broncos on Tuesday.

Gronkowski, who once gave the Broncos trouble as a member of the New England Patriots, shut down those rumors.

"Crazy, bro. They must know something about me that I don’t," Gronkowski informed FOX Sports reporter Jordan Schultz on Wednesday.

"I wish I still had those powers, because that would be cool if I did," Gronkowski added. "But I was just in Australia for a few days. Now it’s time to relax a little. No football."

Gronkowski, 35, has been working with FOX as an NFL analyst since the 2022 season after he retired from football a second time. He played for the New England Patriots from 2010 to 2018 and then for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 and 2021.

Gronkowski became one of the greatest tight ends ever as he caught 621 passes for 9,286 yards and 92 touchdowns. He's in the top 10 in all three categories all-time.

Denver has a significant need for a strong pass-catching tight end for second-year quarterback Bo Nix this year. The Broncos didn't have a tight end go over 13 catches, 188 yards, or three touchdowns for the season.
