Russell Wilson is coming off his first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he led the historic franchise to a playoff appearance.
The Steelers finished the season with a 10-8 record, including a 28-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card Round.
Wilson took over as the Steelers' starting quarterback in Week 7 after nursing a calf injury at the start of the year.
While Wilson and the Steelers found success in their short marriage, the veteran signal-caller is soon set to hit the open market.
Before free agency begins on March 12, Curt Popejoy at Yahoo Sports , predicted that Wilson would leave the Steelers and sign with the Las Vegas Raiders ahead the 2025 NFL season.
Wilson finished the season with 16 touchdowns and 2,482 yards, completing 63.7% of his pass attempts.
The Steelers quarterback is coming off his 13th season in the NFL, previously playing 10 years with the Seattle Seahawks and two years with the Denver Broncos.
During his lone season with the Steelers, Wilson was signed to a one-year, $1.2 million deal. He's heading into free agency as an unrestricted free agent.
A move to the Raiders would reunite Wilson with his head coach from the Seahawks, Pete Carroll, who's entering his first season in Las Vegas.
Carroll accepted the role as head coach after the Raiders parted ways with Antonio Pierce, who led Las Vegas to a 4-13 record last season.
