DeMarcus Lawrence has joined a new team after 11 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, and it sounds like the star defensive end could be feeling a sense of relief.
Lawrence signed a three-year, $42M deal with the Seattle Seahawks in free agency on Wednesday. The veteran had been with the Cowboys since 2014 and stood alone as their longest-tenured player after offensive lineman Zack Martin retired. Lawrence's love for Dallas might run deep, but you would never know that after listening to one of his first interviews as a member of the Seahawks.
Brian Nemhauser of "Hawk Blogger" spoke with Lawrence on Thursday about the 32-year-old's decision to sign with the Seahawks. Lawrence said he will always consider Dallas his home, but he fired a ruthless shot at his former team.
"A change of scenery is always good but, you know, Dallas is my home," Lawrence said. "I made my home there. My family lives there. I'm forever gonna be there, but I know for sure I'm not gonna win a Super Bowl there ... yeah, we here."
Unfortunately, the comments from DeMarcus Lawrence can’t be taken out of context on this one

It seemed at first like Lawrence said one thing and meant another, but he removed all doubt when he smiled and said, "we here." Lawrence is already embracing his new team, to say the least.
The Cowboys drafted Lawrence in the second round in 2014. He played in just four games last season because of a foot injury, but he was one of the anchors of the Dallas defense for years. Lawrence has 450 total tackles and 61.5 sacks across 11 NFL seasons.
If Lawrence ever returns to Dallas as a visiting player, it will be interesting to see if Cowboys fans let his little jab slide.
