Ole Miss quarterback, Jaxson Dart, who has been racing up NFL Draft boards of late, has been rumored to be the top target of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But if he is, he won't be on hand to shake the commissioner's hand and give him a bear hug.

Dart was originally one of 17 prospects who accepted invites from the league to the have the honor of being on-site during the start of the draft in Green Bay. According to reports now, though, Dart is no longer getting on a plane and making the trip to Titletown.

Dart, who is one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2025 draft class, has completed 65.7 percent of his passes for 10,617 yards and 72 touchdowns. He has only tossed 22 career interceptions.

It is assumed since he is not going to the draft, he will stay home with family and friends, but exact plans have not been announced.

The Steelers and the New York Giants have emerged as the most likely candidates for Dart's services.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports has mocked for Dart to go to the Giants in the first round, with the Giants trading their second-round pick to move up in the first round to grab their quarterback of the future.

"Should the Giants pass on Shedeur Sanders with the No. 3 pick, keep an eye out for Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart, whose swashbuckling style and flair for the dramatic seems tailor-made for New York, and who I'm told head coach Brian Daboll likes," Schultz said.

Giants general manager Joe Schoen could still take either Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter at No. 2 and then work his way up from No. 34 to grab Dart, a concept that can work for a host of other suitors as well.
